Open the Google Play link on your Android phone and tap Install.
If your Play Store shows “install on phone and watch,” it may install on both automatically. If not, open the
Play Store on the watch, search for Meltdown Monitor, and install it there.
When installation finishes, tap Open to launch the app on your phone.
If asked “Allow Meltdown Monitor to send you notifications?”, tap Allow so you can receive
alerts.
Sign in with your existing Google account: tap Sign in with Google and select your account.
If prompted about tech support, you can choose Not now. Help is always available later in the
app.
Enter your child’s name to create their profile. Automatic calibration is enabled by default and will set
reasonable alert limits once enough heart-rate data is collected.
Now open Meltdown Monitor on the watch. Grant permissions for notifications and vitals/body
sensors
so it can read heart rate. This is required and only needs to be done once.
The watch will display a 6-digit code. On your phone, tap Connect watch, enter
the
code, and confirm.
When you see “Watch connected,” you’re all set — data will start arriving from the watch automatically.
If you want another parent or caregiver to access the same account, open Household in the app and
invite them by email. They’ll join by tapping the link they receive.
